Random Magic by Sasha Soren
When absent-minded Professor Random misplaces the main character from Alice in Wonderland, young Henry Witherspoon must book-jump to fetch Alice before chaos theory kicks in and the world vanishes.
Along the way he meets Winnie Flapjack, a wit-cracking doodle witch with nothing to her name but a magic feather and a plan. Such as it is.
Henry and Winnie brave the Dark Queen, whatwolves, pirates, Strüths, and fluttersmoths, Priscilla and Charybdis, obnoxiously cheerful vampires, Baron Samedi, a nine-dimensional cat, and one perpetually inebriated Muse to rescue Alice and save the world by tea time.

Swoon At Your Own Risk by Sydney Salter
You’d think Polly Martin would have all the answers when it comes to love—after all, her grandmother is the famous syndicated advice columnist Miss Swoon. But after a junior year full of dating disasters, Polly has sworn off boys. Now she’s just trying to survive her summer job at Wild Waves western-themed water park (under the supervision of ex #3 Sawyer Holmes) and focus on herself for once. So Polly is happy when she finds out Grandma is moving in for the summer –think of all the great advice she’ll get.
But Miss Swoon turns out to be a man-crazy sexagenarian! How can Polly stop herself from falling for Xander Cooper, the suddenly-hot skateboarder who keeps showing up at Wild Waves, when Grandma is picking up guys at the bookstore and flirting with the dishwasher repairman? And why, despite her best intentions, does Polly keep letting boys get in the way of her relationship with her best friend Jane?
No advice column in the world can prepare Polly for what happens when Jane convinces her to go on a group camping trip with three too many ex-boyfriends and the tempting Xander. Polly is forced to face her feelings and figure out if she can be in love—and still be herself.

The Snipesville Chronicles by Annette Laing
Don’t Know Where, Don’t Know When (The Snipesville Chronicles, Book 1)
What a nightmare.
Hannah Dias, California Girl with Attitude, and Alex, her laid-back brother, have moved from exciting San Francisco to boring Snipesville, Georgia. Life doesn't improve when they meet Brandon, a dorky kid who is plotting his escape from the Deep South, and the weird Professor, who has a strange secret.
Suddenly, the kids are catapulted thousands of miles and almost seventy years to England during World War Two.
They fall into a world of stinging nettles, dragon ladies, bomb blasts, ugly underwear, stinky sandwiches, painful punishments, and non-absorbing toilet paper. They learn so much more than they could ever learn in a history class. Not that they want to learn it.
But they can't go home unless they find George Braithwaite, whoever he is, and whatever it is that he has to do with Snipesville.
A Different Day, A Different Destiny (The Snipesville Chronicles, Book 2)
When you wake up in the year 1851 on a Scottish hillside...Or in an English coal mine...Or on a plantation in the Deep South, you know you’re in for a lousy day. Nothing for Hannah and Alex Dias has been normal since they moved from San Francisco to the little town of Snipesville, Georgia. Bad enough that they and their dorky new friend Brandon became reluctant time-travellers to World War Two England. Oh, sure, they made it home safely (just) but now things are about to get worse. Much worse.
From the cotton fields of the Slave South to London's glittering Crystal Palace, the kids chase a lost piece of twenty-first century technology in the mid-nineteenth century. But finding it is only the beginning of what they must do to heal Time.

No Longer Accepting Tours until After Christmas!
Due to the high amount of requests we've had recently, as well as the upcoming holidays, we will no longer be accepting tour-requests from authors until January 1st. This is to give us a chance to get caught up on all of the tours we have going, as well as post the sign-ups for tours we've already scheduled.
If you've emailed me today or before, we will still be posting your tour. All authors who haven't emailed us are asked to wait until January 1st to sign up for a tour of your book.
Sorry for any inconvience this has caused.
I hope everyone has a happy holiday!

The Circle of Friends: Heather by L. Diane Wolfe
A new beginning awaits Heather Jennings. The position at Clemson means she will finally realize her dream of coaching basketball. Heather is ready to focus on her duties, using sheer force if necessary to prove her independence.
Unfortunately, her triumph is hampered as father and greatest advocate lies dying of cancer. Battling her grief, she must also deal with a sister who appears incapable of responsibility or achievement. And once basketball season begins, a talented but cocky player who resembles her in every manner challenges all that remains of Heather’s patience.
Heather’s life changes when she encounters a man capable of handling her bold and feisty attitude. Straightforward and smug, he entices her to date him, and despite his gruff nature shows a great capacity for compassion. However, the last thing Heather needs is a serious relationship with a man equally fixated on work and opposed to marriage…

Troy High by Shana Norris
Summary:
Homer’s Iliad, the classic tale of love and revenge, is shrewdly retold for teens in Troy High.
Narrated by Cassie, a shy outsider who fears that an epic high school rivalry is about to go up in flames, the story follows the Trojans and Spartans as they declare war on the football field. After the beautiful Elena—who used to be the captain of the Spartan cheerleaders—transfers to Troy High and falls madly in love with Cassie’s brother Perry, the Spartans vow that the annual homecoming game will never be forgotten.
The Trojans and Spartans pull wicked pranks on each other as homecoming approaches. And the Spartans’ wildcard football star, Ackley, promises to take down the Trojans’ offensive line. But the stakes are raised when Cassie is forced to choose between the boy she loves (a Spartan) and loyalty to her family and school. Troy High will seduce readers with its incendiary cast of mythic proportions.

The Dark Divine by Bree Despain
Summary:
I stood back and watched his movements. Daniel had that way about him that could shut me down in an instant. . . . I kicked the gravel a couple of times and worked up my courage again. “Tell me . . . I mean . . . why did you come back? Why now, after all this time?”
Grace Divine, daughter of the local pastor, always knew something terrible happened the night Daniel Kalbi disappeared—the night she found her brother Jude collapsed on the porch, covered in blood. But she has no idea what a truly monstrous secret that night really held. And when Daniel returns three years later, Grace can no longer deny her attraction to him, despite promising Jude she’ll stay away.
As Grace gets closer to Daniel, her actions stir the ancient evil Daniel unleashed that horrific night. Grace must discover the truth behind Jude and Daniel's dark secret . . . and the cure that can save the ones she loves. But she may have to lay down the ultimate sacrifice to do it—her soul.

Princess for Hire by Lindsey Leavitt
a) run
For Desi Bascomb, who’s been longing for a bit of glamour in her Idaho life, the choice is a definite C–that is, once she can stop pinching herself. As her new agent Meredith explains, Desi has a rare magical ability: when she applies the ancient Egyptian formula “Royal Rouge,” she can transform temporarily into the exact lookalike of any princess who needs her subbing services. Dream come true, right?
Well, Desi soon discovers that subbing involves a lot more than wearing a tiara and waving at cameras. Like, what do you do when a bullying older sister puts you on a heinous crash diet? Or when the tribal villagers gather to watch you perform a ceremonial dance you don’t know? Or when a princess’s conflicted sweetheart shows up to break things off–and you know she would want you to change his mind?
In this hilarious, winning debut, one girl’s dream of glamour transforms into something bigger: the desire to make a positive impact. And an impact Desi makes, one royal fiasco at a time.

*Please note that some changes have been made to the book since the ARCs were printed but Lindsey says that they should not affect the overall plot or anything major.
New Requirements and Reminders
1.) You must have had a blog that you've posted consistently on for a miminum of two months.
2.) You must make at least two non-meme posts a week.
Hope, Erica, and I will be checking the blogs of those interested to ensure that those two requirements are met. This is not to exclude new bloggers but to ensure that those signing up are more likely to follow through with the requirements because they already understand how time consuming blogging is.
We will also be capping the tours at twenty (20) reviewers per ARC. The first ten on the tour will be the first ten people to sign up and the other ten will be chosen randomly. I hesitated to do this but there is no possible way that ARCs can hold up through 30-40 people.
It has also come to my attention that some of the ARCs are being held on to longer than necessary and also that not everyone is posting reviews. We are starting to keep track of this now and if I notice it is becoming a pattern from any reviewer, they will be taken off of any future tours.
Finally, a few reminders:
1.) Tours are open to United States and Canada ONLY.
2.) Always go by the checklist emailed out, NOT the one posted on the site.
3.) You MUST send us an email with your blog URL to sign up for the program before signing up for any tours. We are now going through to check this and anyone signed up for a tour but not the program will be taken off. We will send you an email after we review the blog to let you know.
4.) The ARCs are being returned to the authors at the end of the tours so please write notes in the front/back of the book. I've received many questions about this and Yes, you are supposed to write notes! (Though if you don't have anything positive to say, then skip this.)
5.) When you sign up for a tour, ask yourself is it's a book you're willing to drop whatever you're reading to read as soon as you get it. Please do not sign up for tours you really aren't interested in just to get the book.
If you have any questions or if you'd like me to clarify anything, don't hesitate to send me an email or leave a comment!

Chasing Brooklyn by Lisa Schroeder
Brooklyn can't sleep. Her boyfriend, Lucca, died only a year ago, and now her friend Gabe has just died of an overdose. Every time she closes her eyes, Gabe's ghost is there waiting for her. She has no idea what he wants or why it isn't Lucca visiting her dreams.
Nico can't stop. He's always running, trying to escape the pain of losing his brother, Lucca. But when Lucca's ghost begins leaving messages, telling Nico to help Brooklyn, emotions come crashing to the surface.
As the nightmares escalate and the messages become relentless, Nico reaches out to Brooklyn. But neither of them can admit that they're being haunted. Until they learn to let each other in, not one soul will be able to rest.

News + Updates.
First, we're having trouble sending out e-mails to people. Email accounts are recognizing our e-mail address as spam. Please please please make sure we are added into your address book or your e-mails with most likely get bounced back to us and not go through. This will mean you'll be missing out on important update emails and all of the checklists! That's badbadbad. So, PLEASE make sure we're added to your address book!
Secondly, if you get a checklist for a book which you have received after signing up, email the person above you to let them know that you will be off the list, so they need to send it to the person under you. Also e-mail Harmony and I to let us know what's going on.
Third, and last, please make sure you are e-mailing us or posting in the C-Box when you ship a book out. This helps us keep track of where the books are and how long the tours have left.
Thank you for reading, and please keep all three of these things in mind! If you have any questions at all about the tours, please e-mail us at onearctours[at]yahoo[dot]com.

Brightly Woven by Alexandra Bracken
In return for this gift, Wayland North is offered any reward he desires—and no one is more surprised than Sydelle when, without any explanation, he chooses her. Taken from her home, Sydelle hardly needs encouragement to find reasons to dislike North. He drinks too much and bathes too little, and if that isn’t enough to drive her to madness, North rarely even uses the magic he takes such pride in possessing. Yet, it’s not long before she realizes there’s something strange about the wizard, who is as fiercely protective of her as he is secretive about a curse that turns his limbs a sinister shade of black and leaves him breathless with agony. Unfortunately, there is never a chance for her to seek answers.
Along with the strangely powerful quakes and storms that trace their path across the kingdom, other wizards begin to take an inexplicable interest in her as well, resulting in a series of deadly duels. Against a backdrop of war and uncertainty, Sydelle is faced with the growing awareness that these events aren’t as random as she had believed—that no curse, not even that of Wayland North, is quite as terrible as the one she herself may carry.

Girl on the Other Side by Deborah Kerbel
Tabby Freeman and Lora Froggett go to the same school, but they live in totally opposite worlds. Tabby is rich, pretty, and the most popular girl in her class. But behind closed doors, her 'perfect' life is rapidly coming apart at the seams.
On the other side, Lora is smart, timid, and the constant target of bullies. While struggling to survive the piranha-infested halls of her school, she becomes increasingly nervous that somebody might discover the unbearable truth about what's been happening to her family.
Despite their differences, Tabby and Lora have something in common - they're both harbouring dark secrets and a lot of pain. Although they've never been friends, a series of strange events causes their lives to crash together in ways neither could have ever imagined. And when the dust finally settles and all their secrets are forced out into the light, will the girls be saved . or destroyed?

Helpers Needed
I've received a few emails in the past few days asking if I needed help with the tours. I do, actually. As of now there are two positions that need to be filled:
1.) I need some one to keep track of where the books are at. This means keeping track of the comments on the Location Updates post and also in the chat box so we know where the books are.
2.) I need someone who can go through and add the emails to the tour list once it has been posted. Basically, this just means going through the comments.
If you're interested in either positions, leave a comment below telling me why.

The Total Tragedy of a Girl Named Hamlet by Erin Dionne
Hamlet Kennedy just wants to be your average, happy, vanilla eighth-grader. But given her family—a genius seven-year-old sister who is going to attend to middle school with her and Shakespearean scholar parents who show up like a walking, talking Renaissance Fair—that’s not terribly easy.
Life gets worse when her sister is named the new pre-algebra tutor, and even worse when the class project is announced: it’s on Shakespeare. Add it all up, and Hamlet’s life (like her name) seems like a total tragedy.
But, as Shakespeare said, “it is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves” and Hamlet finds that, ultimately, being from a Freak Family can give a girl license to find her own brand of extraordinary. And there’s nothing tragic about that. In fact, the curtain of Hamlet’s eighth grade year might just close to overwhelming applause.
Here's the tour list for this book. Please let me know if there's any changes I need to make by September 5th.

After by Amy Efaw
Before That Morning, these were the words most often used to describe straight-A student and star soccer player Devon Davenport: responsible, hardworking, mature. But all that changes when the police find Devon home sick from school as they investigate the case of an abandoned baby. Soon the connection is made—Devon has just given birth; the baby in the trash is hers. After That Morning, there’s only one way to define Devon: attempted murderer.
And yet gifted author Amy Efaw does the impossible— she turns Devon into an empathetic character, a girl who was in such deep denial that she refused to believe she was pregnant. Through airtight writing and fast-paced, gripping storytelling, Ms. Efaw takes the reader on Devon’s unforgettable journey toward clarity, acceptance, and redemption.

New Policy
However, a few said they'd prefer not to and quite a few people didn't vote. So, here's the new policy.
1 ARC Tours is now open to bloggers from the US and Canada. At this time, those are the ONLY countries accepted. However, to keep it fair for everyone, when you comment on tours, include the following info:
If you're Canadian or US(ian).
If you're in the US, will you ship to Canada?
As well as your email.
Canadians, I'm told that it costs more to ship from Canada to the US than from the US to Canada so please keep that in mind when signing up for a tour. Since there are many more US bloggers, it's almost guaranteed you'll be shipping to the US.
Bloggers in the US, you do NOT have to ship to Canada but if you don't mention "I'll only ship to US" in your comment, I won't know and you may get signed up. However, I'm going to try to mix up the bloggers sending to Canada. If you're okay with shipping occassionally, mention it. I'm going to try to make it so no one ships to Canada more than once a month (it may end up being less!).
If you have any questions about this, email me or leave it in the comments.

Quick Poll

We accept books published in other countries but all bloggers MUST live in the US. Even if there's a US address the book can be sent to, it won't work with this program due to the limited time we have to get the book to each person (and the higher risk of damage when it crosses seas).
It also came to my attention that there's at least one member who lives outside of the US that I wasn't aware of until today. I sincerely wish that it was feasible for us to include everyone but it's not. If you have signed up but do not live in the US, please email me to let me know so I can update the tours as needed.
If there are more members in this situation, I am truly sorry.

Eyes Like Stars by Lisa Mantchev
Our next tour will be for Eyes Like Stars by Lisa Mantchev.
Summary:
All her world’s a stage.
Bertie Shakespeare Smith is not an actress, yet she lives in a theater..
She’s not an orphan, but she has no parents.
She knows every part, but she has no lines of her own.
That is, until now.
Enter Stage Right
NATE. Dashing pirate. Will do anything to protect Bertie.
COBWEB, MOTH, MUSTARD SEED, and PEASEBLOSSOM. Four tiny and incredibly annoying fairies. BERTIE’S sidekicks.
ARIEL. Seductive air spirit and Bertie’s weakness. The symbol of impending doom.
BERTIE. Our heroine.
Welcome to the Théâtre Illuminata, where the actors of every play ever written can be found behind the curtain. They were born to play their parts, and are bound to the Théâtre by The Book—an ancient and magical tome of scripts. Bertie is not one of them, but they are her family—and she is about to lose them all and the only home she has ever known.
Lisa Mantchev has written a debut novel that is dramatic, romantic, and witty, with an irresistible and irreverent cast of characters who are sure to enchant the audience.
To Join please leave a comment by July 17th. Thanks!
Quick Updates
I'll have a new tour up tomorrow and I'm working on making the list for the Beautiful tour.
Since the email switch has been kinda confusing on my side, I'm asking for a little bit of help. If all the bloggers could send an email to onearctours@yahoo.com with the following info, it would be a great help.
Name:
Email:
URL:
That way, I can add everyone's address to the new address book to make it easier to send emails out and I'm also going to make a post that links to everyone's blogs.
Thanks!

Duplikate by Cherry Cheva
Our next tour will be for DupliKate by Cherry Cheva.
"Getting into Yale has been Kate Larson’s dream for years—and being overworked and under-rested is the price of admission. But when she opens her eyes after falling asleep on her keyboard one night, she comes face-to-face with, well, herself.
Meet Kate’s computer-generated twin. Kate doesn’t know why she’s here or how to put her back where she belongs, but she’s real. And she’s the last thing Kate has time to deal with right now. Unless. . .could having a double be the answer to Kate’s prayers?"
This will be released in September so reviews can go up whenever you like. Please let me know if you're interested by July 14th by leaving a comment.

Beautiful by Amy Reed
I sent the email out for this yesterday but since there's so many new members, I'll be posting about it here too. Here's some more about it:
"When Cassie moves from the tiny town where she has always lived to a suburb of Seattle, she is determined to leave her boring, good-girl existence behind. This is Cassie’s chance to stop being invisible and become the kind of girl who’s worth noticing.
Stepping into her new identity turns out to be easier than Cassie could have ever imagined...one moment, one choice, will change everything.
Cassie’s new existence both thrills and terrifies her. Swept into a world of illicit parties and social landmines, she sheds her virginity, embraces the numbness she feels from the drugs, and floats through it all, knowing that she is now called beautiful. She ignores the dangers of her fast-paced life…but she can’t sidestep the secrets and the cruelty.
Cassie is trapped in a swift downward spiral tinged with violence and abuse, and no one—not even the one person she thought she could trust—can help her now."
