Random Magic by Sasha Soren

When absent-minded Professor Random misplaces the main character from Alice in Wonderland, young Henry Witherspoon must book-jump to fetch Alice before chaos theory kicks in and the world vanishes.

Along the way he meets Winnie Flapjack, a wit-cracking doodle witch with nothing to her name but a magic feather and a plan. Such as it is.

Henry and Winnie brave the Dark Queen, whatwolves, pirates, Strüths, and fluttersmoths, Priscilla and Charybdis, obnoxiously cheerful vampires, Baron Samedi, a nine-dimensional cat, and one perpetually inebriated Muse to rescue Alice and save the world by tea time.

Here's the list for this tour. Let me know if there are any changes that need to be made by December 22nd. There is still time to join!

Swoon At Your Own Risk by Sydney Salter

You’d think Polly Martin would have all the answers when it comes to love—after all, her grandmother is the famous syndicated advice columnist Miss Swoon. But after a junior year full of dating disasters, Polly has sworn off boys. Now she’s just trying to survive her summer job at Wild Waves western-themed water park (under the supervision of ex #3 Sawyer Holmes) and focus on herself for once. So Polly is happy when she finds out Grandma is moving in for the summer –think of all the great advice she’ll get.

But Miss Swoon turns out to be a man-crazy sexagenarian! How can Polly stop herself from falling for Xander Cooper, the suddenly-hot skateboarder who keeps showing up at Wild Waves, when Grandma is picking up guys at the bookstore and flirting with the dishwasher repairman? And why, despite her best intentions, does Polly keep letting boys get in the way of her relationship with her best friend Jane?

No advice column in the world can prepare Polly for what happens when Jane convinces her to go on a group camping trip with three too many ex-boyfriends and the tempting Xander. Polly is forced to face her feelings and figure out if she can be in love—and still be herself.

The Rise of Renegade X by Chelsea Campbell

Sixteen-year-old Damien Locke has a plan: major in messing with people at the local supervillain university and become a professional evil genius, just like his supervillain mom. But when he discovers the shameful secret she's been hiding all these years, that the one night stand that spawned him was actually with a superhero, everything gets messed up. His father's too moral for his own good, so when he finds out Damien exists, he actually wants him to come live with him and his goody-goody superhero family. Damien gets shipped off to stay with them in their suburban hellhole, and he only has six weeks to prove he's not a hero in any way, or else he's stuck living with them for the rest of his life, or until he turns eighteen, whichever comes first.

To get out of this mess, Damien has to survive his dad's “flying lessons” that involve throwing him off the tallest building in the city—despite his nearly debilitating fear of heights—thwart the eccentric teen scientist who insists she's his sidekick, and keep his supervillain girlfriend from finding out the truth. But when Damien uncovers a dastardly plot to turn all the superheroes into mindless zombie slaves, a plan hatched by his own mom, he discovers he cares about his new family more than he thought. Now he has to choose: go back to his life of villainy and let his family become zombies, or stand up to his mom and become a real hero.

The Snipesville Chronicles by Annette Laing

Don’t Know Where, Don’t Know When (The Snipesville Chronicles, Book 1)

What a nightmare.

Hannah Dias, California Girl with Attitude, and Alex, her laid-back brother, have moved from exciting San Francisco to boring Snipesville, Georgia. Life doesn't improve when they meet Brandon, a dorky kid who is plotting his escape from the Deep South, and the weird Professor, who has a strange secret.

Suddenly, the kids are catapulted thousands of miles and almost seventy years to England during World War Two.

They fall into a world of stinging nettles, dragon ladies, bomb blasts, ugly underwear, stinky sandwiches, painful punishments, and non-absorbing toilet paper. They learn so much more than they could ever learn in a history class. Not that they want to learn it.

But they can't go home unless they find George Braithwaite, whoever he is, and whatever it is that he has to do with Snipesville.

A Different Day, A Different Destiny (The Snipesville Chronicles, Book 2)

When you wake up in the year 1851 on a Scottish hillside...Or in an English coal mine...Or on a plantation in the Deep South, you know you’re in for a lousy day. Nothing for Hannah and Alex Dias has been normal since they moved from San Francisco to the little town of Snipesville, Georgia. Bad enough that they and their dorky new friend Brandon became reluctant time-travellers to World War Two England. Oh, sure, they made it home safely (just) but now things are about to get worse. Much worse.

From the cotton fields of the Slave South to London's glittering Crystal Palace, the kids chase a lost piece of twenty-first century technology in the mid-nineteenth century. But finding it is only the beginning of what they must do to heal Time.

This is an ARC tour for books 1 and 2 in the series. Each person will have them both at the same time. If you're interested in being part of this tour, please leave a comment with your email, country, and if you're willing to ship to Canada by December 20th.

No Longer Accepting Tours until After Christmas!

Hey everyone,

Due to the high amount of requests we've had recently, as well as the upcoming holidays, we will no longer be accepting tour-requests from authors until January 1st. This is to give us a chance to get caught up on all of the tours we have going, as well as post the sign-ups for tours we've already scheduled.

If you've emailed me today or before, we will still be posting your tour. All authors who haven't emailed us are asked to wait until January 1st to sign up for a tour of your book.

Sorry for any inconvience this has caused.

I hope everyone has a happy holiday!

The Circle of Friends: Heather by L. Diane Wolfe

When confidence turns to frustration…
A new beginning awaits Heather Jennings. The position at Clemson means she will finally realize her dream of coaching basketball. Heather is ready to focus on her duties, using sheer force if necessary to prove her independence.

Unfortunately, her triumph is hampered as father and greatest advocate lies dying of cancer. Battling her grief, she must also deal with a sister who appears incapable of responsibility or achievement. And once basketball season begins, a talented but cocky player who resembles her in every manner challenges all that remains of Heather’s patience.

Heather’s life changes when she encounters a man capable of handling her bold and feisty attitude. Straightforward and smug, he entices her to date him, and despite his gruff nature shows a great capacity for compassion. However, the last thing Heather needs is a serious relationship with a man equally fixated on work and opposed to marriage…
This is a 2010 release and Book 5 in a series. However, each book is a standalone so you won't have a problem reading this if you haven't read the others.

Forget-Her-Nots by Amy Brecount White

When someone leaves three mystery flowers outside her dorm door, Laurel thinks that maybe the Avondale School isn’t so awful after all — until her own body starts to freak out. In the middle of her English presentation on the Victorian Language of Flowers, strange words pop into her head, and her body seems to tingle and hum. Impulsively, Laurel gives the love bouquet she made to demonstrate the language to her spinster English teacher. When that teacher unexpectedly and immediately finds romance, Laurel suspects that something — something magical — is up. With her new friend, Kate, she sets out to discover the origins and breadth of her powers by experimenting on herself and others. But she can’t seem to find any living experts in the field of flower powers to guide her. And her bouquets don’t always do her bidding, especially when it comes to her own crush, Justin. Rumors about Laurel and her flowers fly across campus, and she’s soon besieged by requests from girls — both friends and enemies — who want their lives magically transformed — just in time for prom.

Troy High by Shana Norris

Homer’s Iliad, the classic tale of love and revenge, is shrewdly retold for teens in Troy High.

Narrated by Cassie, a shy outsider who fears that an epic high school rivalry is about to go up in flames, the story follows the Trojans and Spartans as they declare war on the football field. After the beautiful Elena—who used to be the captain of the Spartan cheerleaders—transfers to Troy High and falls madly in love with Cassie’s brother Perry, the Spartans vow that the annual homecoming game will never be forgotten.

The Trojans and Spartans pull wicked pranks on each other as homecoming approaches. And the Spartans’ wildcard football star, Ackley, promises to take down the Trojans’ offensive line. But the stakes are raised when Cassie is forced to choose between the boy she loves (a Spartan) and loyalty to her family and school. Troy High will seduce readers with its incendiary cast of mythic proportions.

The Dark Divine by Bree Despain

I stood back and watched his movements. Daniel had that way about him that could shut me down in an instant. . . . I kicked the gravel a couple of times and worked up my courage again. “Tell me . . . I mean . . . why did you come back? Why now, after all this time?”

Grace Divine, daughter of the local pastor, always knew something terrible happened the night Daniel Kalbi disappeared—the night she found her brother Jude collapsed on the porch, covered in blood. But she has no idea what a truly monstrous secret that night really held. And when Daniel returns three years later, Grace can no longer deny her attraction to him, despite promising Jude she’ll stay away.

As Grace gets closer to Daniel, her actions stir the ancient evil Daniel unleashed that horrific night. Grace must discover the truth behind Jude and Daniel's dark secret . . . and the cure that can save the ones she loves. But she may have to lay down the ultimate sacrifice to do it—her soul.

Princess for Hire by Lindsey Leavitt

When a flawlessly dressed woman steps out of an iridescent bubble and wants to know, like, now if you’d like to become a substitute princess, do you
a) run
b) faint
c) say Yes!
For Desi Bascomb, who’s been longing for a bit of glamour in her Idaho life, the choice is a definite C–that is, once she can stop pinching herself. As her new agent Meredith explains, Desi has a rare magical ability: when she applies the ancient Egyptian formula “Royal Rouge,” she can transform temporarily into the exact lookalike of any princess who needs her subbing services. Dream come true, right?
Well, Desi soon discovers that subbing involves a lot more than wearing a tiara and waving at cameras. Like, what do you do when a bullying older sister puts you on a heinous crash diet? Or when the tribal villagers gather to watch you perform a ceremonial dance you don’t know? Or when a princess’s conflicted sweetheart shows up to break things off–and you know she would want you to change his mind?
In this hilarious, winning debut, one girl’s dream of glamour transforms into something bigger: the desire to make a positive impact. And an impact Desi makes, one royal fiasco at a time.

*Please note that some changes have been made to the book since the ARCs were printed but Lindsey says that they should not affect the overall plot or anything major.

New Requirements and Reminders

As the tours become more popular, we are beginning to notice some problems and are making changes accordingly. We've recently updated the About page, so please check that out. We are now asking the following of those signing up:

1.) You must have had a blog that you've posted consistently on for a miminum of two months.
2.) You must make at least two non-meme posts a week.

Hope, Erica, and I will be checking the blogs of those interested to ensure that those two requirements are met. This is not to exclude new bloggers but to ensure that those signing up are more likely to follow through with the requirements because they already understand how time consuming blogging is.

We will also be capping the tours at twenty (20) reviewers per ARC. The first ten on the tour will be the first ten people to sign up and the other ten will be chosen randomly. I hesitated to do this but there is no possible way that ARCs can hold up through 30-40 people.

It has also come to my attention that some of the ARCs are being held on to longer than necessary and also that not everyone is posting reviews. We are starting to keep track of this now and if I notice it is becoming a pattern from any reviewer, they will be taken off of any future tours.

Finally, a few reminders:

1.) Tours are open to United States and Canada ONLY.
2.) Always go by the checklist emailed out, NOT the one posted on the site.
3.) You MUST send us an email with your blog URL to sign up for the program before signing up for any tours. We are now going through to check this and anyone signed up for a tour but not the program will be taken off. We will send you an email after we review the blog to let you know.
4.) The ARCs are being returned to the authors at the end of the tours so please write notes in the front/back of the book. I've received many questions about this and Yes, you are supposed to write notes! (Though if you don't have anything positive to say, then skip this.)
5.) When you sign up for a tour, ask yourself is it's a book you're willing to drop whatever you're reading to read as soon as you get it. Please do not sign up for tours you really aren't interested in just to get the book.

If you have any questions or if you'd like me to clarify anything, don't hesitate to send me an email or leave a comment!

News + Updates.

Please pay attention to this post and read the whole thing in it's entirety.

First, we're having trouble sending out e-mails to people. Email accounts are recognizing our e-mail address as spam. Please please please make sure we are added into your address book or your e-mails with most likely get bounced back to us and not go through. This will mean you'll be missing out on important update emails and all of the checklists! That's badbadbad. So, PLEASE make sure we're added to your address book!

Secondly, if you get a checklist for a book which you have received after signing up, email the person above you to let them know that you will be off the list, so they need to send it to the person under you. Also e-mail Harmony and I to let us know what's going on.

Third, and last, please make sure you are e-mailing us or posting in the C-Box when you ship a book out. This helps us keep track of where the books are and how long the tours have left.

Thank you for reading, and please keep all three of these things in mind! If you have any questions at all about the tours, please e-mail us at onearctours[at]yahoo[dot]com.

Brightly Woven by Alexandra Bracken

Sydelle Mirabil is living proof that, with a single drop of rain, a life can be changed forever. Tucked away in the farthest reaches of the kingdom, her dusty village has suffered under the weight of a strangely persistent drought. That is, of course, until a wizard wanders into town and brings the rain with him.

In return for this gift, Wayland North is offered any reward he desires—and no one is more surprised than Sydelle when, without any explanation, he chooses her. Taken from her home, Sydelle hardly needs encouragement to find reasons to dislike North. He drinks too much and bathes too little, and if that isn’t enough to drive her to madness, North rarely even uses the magic he takes such pride in possessing. Yet, it’s not long before she realizes there’s something strange about the wizard, who is as fiercely protective of her as he is secretive about a curse that turns his limbs a sinister shade of black and leaves him breathless with agony. Unfortunately, there is never a chance for her to seek answers.

Along with the strangely powerful quakes and storms that trace their path across the kingdom, other wizards begin to take an inexplicable interest in her as well, resulting in a series of deadly duels. Against a backdrop of war and uncertainty, Sydelle is faced with the growing awareness that these events aren’t as random as she had believed—that no curse, not even that of Wayland North, is quite as terrible as the one she herself may carry.

When the Whistle Blows by Fran Slayton

Jimmy lives in Rowlesburg, West Virginia, during the 1940s. He does all the things boys do in the small mountain town: plays a mean game of football, pulls the unforgettable Halloween prank with his friends in "the Platoon," and promises to head off into the woods on the first day of hunting season— no matter what. He also knows his father belongs to a secret society, and is determined to uncover the mysteries behind it! But it is a midnight encounter with a train that shows Jimmy the man his father really is.

Newcomer Fran Cannon Slayton's powerful first novel captures the serendipity of boyhood by shining a spotlight on the peak adventures of Jimmy's life. But at its heart, this is a story about a boy and his father in a time when trains reigned supreme.

First off, I wanted to say that you guys NEED to have the tour email in your address book. Because we send out so many group emails, certain servers have started classifying us as spam and the emails are bouncing back. So if you want to get any of the checklists or anything, PLEASE add the tour email. (Also - Lilibeth, I tried to answer you but the reply bounced back too.)

Secondly, I (Harmony) have a LOT going on this month, including the Super Secret Project, which should be revealed later today. So Hope and Erica will be taking over the tours for the most part. I'll still be here over-seeing everything and nothing should change (all emails still go to the tour email) but I just wanted to let everyone know.

My Invented Life by Lauren Bjorkman

With Roz and Eva everything becomes a contest—who can snag the best role in the school play, have the cutest boyfriend, pull off the craziest prank. Still, they’re as close as sisters can be. Until Eva deletes Roz from her life like so much junk e-mail for no reason that Roz understands. Now Eva hangs out with the annoyingly petite cheerleaders, and Roz fantasizes about slipping bovine growth hormone into their Gatorade.
Roz has a suspicion about Eva. In turn, Eva taunts Roz with a dare, which leads to an act of total insanity. Drama geeks clamor for attention, Shakespearean insults fly, and Roz steals the show in Lauren Bjorkman’s hilarious debut novel.

As crusaders sweep through the country, destroying all those who do not follow their religion, Bertrand risks his life to warn others of the invasion. As a troubadour, Bertrand can travel without suspicion from castle to castle, passing word about the coming danger. In the meantime Elinor, a young noblewoman, in love with Bertrand, leaves her comfortable home and family and becomes a troubadour herself. Danger encircles them both, as the rising tide of bloodshed threatens the fabric of the society in which they live.

As many of you know, I've been way behind on most things related to the blog. I just sent out a bunch of checklists today. If you did are positive you signed up but did not receive a checklist for a book I just mentioned in the chatbox, email me.

Since I've been behind, there's been some emails I may have overlooked. If you've emailed me in the past couple of weeks and I haven't answered, send another. Authors, if I said long ago we were going to do a tour with your book but you don't see it posted or I owe you addresses, email me.

Sorry for the delays in everything!

Girl on the Other Side by Deborah Kerbel

Tabby Freeman and Lora Froggett go to the same school, but they live in totally opposite worlds. Tabby is rich, pretty, and the most popular girl in her class. But behind closed doors, her 'perfect' life is rapidly coming apart at the seams.
On the other side, Lora is smart, timid, and the constant target of bullies. While struggling to survive the piranha-infested halls of her school, she becomes increasingly nervous that somebody might discover the unbearable truth about what's been happening to her family.
Despite their differences, Tabby and Lora have something in common - they're both harbouring dark secrets and a lot of pain. Although they've never been friends, a series of strange events causes their lives to crash together in ways neither could have ever imagined. And when the dust finally settles and all their secrets are forced out into the light, will the girls be saved . or destroyed?

The Miles Between by Mary E Pearson

The Miles Between by Mary E Pearson

Destiny Faraday makes a point of keeping her distance from her classmates at Hedgebrook Academy. Her number-one rule: Don’t get attached. But one day, unexpectedly finding a car at their disposal, Destiny and three of her classmates embark on an unauthorized road trip.

They’re searching for one fair day—a day where the good guy wins and everything adds up to something just and right. Their destination: Langdon, a town that Destiny’s unsuspecting companions hope will hold simply a day of fun. But, as Destiny says, “Things are not always what they seem.” Only she knows that Langdon holds far more than that—a deep secret she has never shared with anyone.

The Miles Between explores the wonder andmagic of a very real world where chance, mystery, and secrets abound.

Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater

Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater

For years, Grace has watched the wolves in the woods behind her house. One yellow-eyed wolf—her wolf—is a chilling presence she can't seem to live without. Meanwhile, Sam has lived two lives: In winter, the frozen woods, the protection of the pack, and the silent company of a fearless girl. In summer, a few precious months of being human... until the cold makes him shift back again.

Now, Grace meets a yellow-eyed boy whose familiarity takes her breath away. It's her wolf. It has to be. But as winter nears, Sam must fight to stay human—or risk losing himself, and Grace, forever.

Helpers Needed

Hey guys,

I've received a few emails in the past few days asking if I needed help with the tours. I do, actually. As of now there are two positions that need to be filled:

1.) I need some one to keep track of where the books are at. This means keeping track of the comments on the Location Updates post and also in the chat box so we know where the books are.

2.) I need someone who can go through and add the emails to the tour list once it has been posted. Basically, this just means going through the comments.

If you're interested in either positions, leave a comment below telling me why.

The Snowball Effect by Holly Nicole Hoxter

Lainey Pike can tell you everything you need to know about the people in her family just by letting you know how they died. Her reckless stepfather drove his motorcycle off the highway and caused the biggest traffic jam in years. Her long-suffering grandmother lived through cancer and a heart attack before finally succumbing to a stroke. And Lainey's mother--well, Lainey's mother hanged herself in the basement just days after Lainey's high school graduation.

Now Lainey's five-year-old brother is an orphan, and her estranged older sister is moving back home to be his guardian. Meanwhile, Lainey's boyfriend is thinking about having a family of their own, and her best friends are always asking the wrong sorts of questions and giving advice Lainey doesn't want to hear. As she tries to pull away from everything familiar, Lainey meets an intriguing new guy who, through a series of Slurpees, burgers, and snowballs, helps her to make peace with a parent she never understood.

The Total Tragedy of a Girl Named Hamlet by Erin Dionne

Hamlet Kennedy just wants to be your average, happy, vanilla eighth-grader. But given her family—a genius seven-year-old sister who is going to attend to middle school with her and Shakespearean scholar parents who show up like a walking, talking Renaissance Fair—that’s not terribly easy.

Life gets worse when her sister is named the new pre-algebra tutor, and even worse when the class project is announced: it’s on Shakespeare. Add it all up, and Hamlet’s life (like her name) seems like a total tragedy.

But, as Shakespeare said, “it is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves” and Hamlet finds that, ultimately, being from a Freak Family can give a girl license to find her own brand of extraordinary. And there’s nothing tragic about that. In fact, the curtain of Hamlet’s eighth grade year might just close to overwhelming applause.
Our next tour is for The Total Tragedy of a Girl Named Hamlet by Erin Dionne. This is a 2010 release.

After by Amy Efaw

After by Amy Efaw

An infant left in the trash to die. A teenage mother who never knew she was pregnant . . .
Before That Morning, these were the words most often used to describe straight-A student and star soccer player Devon Davenport: responsible, hardworking, mature. But all that changes when the police find Devon home sick from school as they investigate the case of an abandoned baby. Soon the connection is made—Devon has just given birth; the baby in the trash is hers. After That Morning, there’s only one way to define Devon: attempted murderer.
And yet gifted author Amy Efaw does the impossible— she turns Devon into an empathetic character, a girl who was in such deep denial that she refused to believe she was pregnant. Through airtight writing and fast-paced, gripping storytelling, Ms. Efaw takes the reader on Devon’s unforgettable journey toward clarity, acceptance, and redemption.

New Policy

Thanks to everyone who voted in the poll (see post below). The general agreement seems to be that including Canada is a great idea, as long as the same people aren't sending the books every time.

However, a few said they'd prefer not to and quite a few people didn't vote. So, here's the new policy.

1 ARC Tours is now open to bloggers from the US and Canada. At this time, those are the ONLY countries accepted. However, to keep it fair for everyone, when you comment on tours, include the following info:

If you're Canadian or US(ian).
If you're in the US, will you ship to Canada?
As well as your email.

Canadians, I'm told that it costs more to ship from Canada to the US than from the US to Canada so please keep that in mind when signing up for a tour. Since there are many more US bloggers, it's almost guaranteed you'll be shipping to the US.

Bloggers in the US, you do NOT have to ship to Canada but if you don't mention "I'll only ship to US" in your comment, I won't know and you may get signed up. However, I'm going to try to mix up the bloggers sending to Canada. If you're okay with shipping occassionally, mention it. I'm going to try to make it so no one ships to Canada more than once a month (it may end up being less!).

If you have any questions about this, email me or leave it in the comments.

Quick Poll

So it seems that we have a few members living in Canada who signed up without letting us know they were out of the US. They're respected bloggers and Hope and I have been discussing whether or not we should open the tours to Canada bloggers. My main issue is the shipping - I'm not sure how much it is but Hope said it wasn't much more than shipping to the US. Since it'll be the members shipping the books, I want your input:

Would you be willing to ship books to Canada as part of the tour?

It has just come to my attention that it doesn't specify in the guidelines whether or not this program is US only. To clear everything up:

We accept books published in other countries but all bloggers MUST live in the US. Even if there's a US address the book can be sent to, it won't work with this program due to the limited time we have to get the book to each person (and the higher risk of damage when it crosses seas).

It also came to my attention that there's at least one member who lives outside of the US that I wasn't aware of until today. I sincerely wish that it was feasible for us to include everyone but it's not. If you have signed up but do not live in the US, please email me to let me know so I can update the tours as needed.

If there are more members in this situation, I am truly sorry.

Ballads of Suburbia by Stephanie Keuhnert

Kara hasn't been back to Oak Park since the end of junior year, when a heroin overdose nearly killed her and sirens heralded her exit. Four years later, she returns to face the music. Her life changed forever back in high school: her family disintegrated, she ran around with a whole new crowd of friends, she partied a little too hard, and she fell in love with gorgeous bad-boy Adrian, who left her to die that day in Scoville Park....
Amid the music, the booze, the drugs, and the drama, her friends filled a notebook with heartbreakingly honest confessions of the moments that defined and shattered their young lives. Now, finally, Kara is ready to write her own.

Just Another Note

I just noticed that there's been some people signing up for specific tours without actually signing up to be a part of this group. It's great that people are taking an interest but before you sign up for a tour you must email me at to say you want to join the group.

When I'm making up the checklists I don't always check to see if everyone is a member because there's so many but this won't work as well if people do sign up. (If you need more info, check out the "About" page at the top.)

Quick Updates

Hey guys!

I'll have a new tour up tomorrow and I'm working on making the list for the Beautiful tour.

Since the email switch has been kinda confusing on my side, I'm asking for a little bit of help. If all the bloggers could send an email to with the following info, it would be a great help.

That way, I can add everyone's address to the new address book to make it easier to send emails out and I'm also going to make a post that links to everyone's blogs.

Hey everyone! Yan here, I changed the format of the comments so let me know if it works now! I'm actually not allowed to post anything so don't tell Harmony (shhhhhhhh). Just wanted to make things easier on her end if this works.

Duplikate by Cherry Cheva

Our next tour will be for DupliKate by Cherry Cheva.

"Getting into Yale has been Kate Larson’s dream for years—and being overworked and under-rested is the price of admission. But when she opens her eyes after falling asleep on her keyboard one night, she comes face-to-face with, well, herself.

Meet Kate’s computer-generated twin. Kate doesn’t know why she’s here or how to put her back where she belongs, but she’s real. And she’s the last thing Kate has time to deal with right now. Unless. . .could having a double be the answer to Kate’s prayers?"

This will be released in September so reviews can go up whenever you like. Please let me know if you're interested by July 14th by leaving a comment.

Beautiful by Amy Reed

I sent the email out for this yesterday but since there's so many new members, I'll be posting about it here too. Here's some more about it:

"When Cassie moves from the tiny town where she has always lived to a suburb of Seattle, she is determined to leave her boring, good-girl existence behind. This is Cassie’s chance to stop being invisible and become the kind of girl who’s worth noticing.

Stepping into her new identity turns out to be easier than Cassie could have ever moment, one choice, will change everything.

Cassie’s new existence both thrills and terrifies her. Swept into a world of illicit parties and social landmines, she sheds her virginity, embraces the numbness she feels from the drugs, and floats through it all, knowing that she is now called beautiful. She ignores the dangers of her fast-paced life…but she can’t sidestep the secrets and the cruelty.

Cassie is trapped in a swift downward spiral tinged with violence and abuse, and no one—not even the one person she thought she could trust—can help her now."

About 1 ARC Tours

Purpose: To get more publicity for authors and get the book to a larger amount of book bloggers without an excess of ARCs being used.

More About It: Basically, I got the idea from Kay Cassidy when she mentioned that this was something Tenners did with their own books and also set it up for her “street team”. I loved the idea and decided to run with it because seriously, look around the internet and see how many new bloggers are popping up. There’s tons but ARC runs are still the same (or even cut smaller) and it’s impossible for authors to accommodate all requests, even if the blogger is worthy of receiving a copy.

Here’s How It Will Work: If in an author is interested, they will email me and we’ll discuss the options (more about this below). Once everything is okayed, they’ll either send the book to me to start the tour or, if it’s a book I’m not interested in, to the first person on the tour. I will make a post about it on the blog. Any bloggers who are interested should comment. I will make up a list in the order they reply.

For Authors: If you’re interested, please email me – onearctours[at]yahoo[dot]com with “ARC Tour” in the subject line. Please include some information about your book – title, summary, release date, etc. Also let me know if you have ARCs available.

Since it will take a while for each person to read it and then pass it on to the next, if you want most of the reviews to be up before the release date, there should be a couple of months before the release date. Even then, some reviewers still may not get the book before the release date. To speed things up, you have the option of a 2 or 3 ARC Tour which is the same thing except with 2 ARCs going around. This will split the tour into two (so if there’s 10 people signed up for the tour, 5 will get the first copy and 5 will get the second) which means that more people should read it faster, post reviews faster, etc.

**As of 11/12/09 we will be limiting each ARC to 20 reviewers due to high demands.

However, if you have a been that's already been released, we can still do a tour - the reviews will just be out after the release date.

If you want to do any interviews/guest blogs/contests/ etc you should contact the specific blogger about that. Aside from the book getting passed around, any contact between authors and bloggers is individual.

For Bloggers: If you’re interested in participating in any tours, fill out this form.We require that you've had a blog for a minimum of two months and that you make at least 2 non-meme posts per week.

Once you're signed up, you can sign up for any tours you want by leaving a comment on that post. However once you sign up, the following things are expected of you.

1.) You will read the book within one week.
2.) Mail the book out as soon as you finish reading it.
3.) Be considerate of the book. Remember that this book is going to get passed through quite a few people and then back to the author. If you break up the spine, it’ll be in pieces before the author gets it back.
4.) Review the book. Because we’ll be working with ARCs and you may get to read it months before it comes out, it is not required that you post the book as soon as you read it. But you must review the book. Preferably, it’d be good for a few people to get some early buzz going and then have everyone else review it in the month leading up to publication.

If you fail to do these things without a good excuse, you will be kicked off of all future tours .We can’t have people disrupting the tour, especially at the beginning.

I believe that’s all. If you have any questions, please email me. I’ll update this as necessary. Also, I’d really appreciate it if anyone wants to spread the word! Thanks!

The New Blog

I finally decided to set up a blog for this - I think it will help us be way more organized (though the disorganization is definitely my fault) and might get us more publicity.

From the Beautiful tour on I will be posting what I usually send in emails here. To sign up, all you'll have to do is comment. The checklists will still be mailed but I will post the order (minus the email addresses) here to keep everyone organized.

Also, I have switched to a separate email specifically for the tours so if you have questions, email me at
